How to? : Self Care!

 


According to Wikipedia ‘’Self-care is the individual practice of health management

without the aid of a medical professional’’


Self-care is really important especially during quarantine. We often forget to take care of

ourselves when our work and home life is just mixing up. It is really important to take

some time out for yourself. It should be done periodically, as in every week or every two

weeks. Sometimes you just need a break. Giving yourself a treat after a long week is

just the thing you need to keep motivating yourself.


I cannot stress how important self-care is. Taking care of yourself in every way is

necessary for your physical as well as mental health. If you are too stressed, it can

affect your mental health which further affects your physical health.

Today I am going to be giving you some times about self-care.


1. Spa day:

A spa day is a great thing to take a break. After a long week, it is the perfect thing to

unwind and relax on the weekends. A spa day can include washing your hair, cutting

your nails and painting them, a face mask, and a facial. All the things you do to pamper

yourself. Doing this often makes you feel really good. It is a great relief from all the

stress you have with all things just piling up.


2. Changing up your surroundings:

Staying at home and doing everything might seem like an excuse for sitting in your

pajamas the whole day. Trust me, It does not help your productivity at all. Instead,

getting up having a bath, and getting in your work or school clothes helps you be more

productive. Even cleaning out your desk every day helps. Making a general today list for

the week or so and keeping it in front of you also helps you focus on your goal


3. Just plain motivation:

Motivating yourself to do everything might seem like a task, but the more you do it and if

it works it will be great. You can try setting a treat after a certain number of tasks to

motivate you even more.


4. Give yourself a break:

Just taking it easy on yourself and not stressing the little things is the best way to

actually take care of yourself. We all know that too much stress is not good. It may be

hard to not take stress when so much is pending and it is on a deadline. So just simple

planning is good, which also needs regularity. It can be hard but trust me you can do it.


5. Eat Sleep Exercise Repeat:

Eating Habits, Sleep Cycle, and Exercising is the main foundation of Self Care. Eating

your daily proteins, carbs, fibers is important. Sleeping for at least 6-7 hours is

important, even if you sleep it in one go, or you take naps after waking up early.

Exercising is the most well-known way to keep fit. Even though you may get bored in

between, it is important to keep up your daily exercising streak. Exercising also helps

you sleep better
