Fashion: A Disruption?

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you have "had" to tuck into the worst dress created ever? Or perhaps when you're "forced" to wear heels due to the outfit? Did you ever end up with those lines all around your belly from those tight jeans?

Sometimes, some articles are just not meant for us. We end up utilising them for formalities only. However, we must remember that shoes are supposed to comfort your feet, not bruise them. I'd rather walk barefoot in that case! What I mean by that metaphor is simply this: Fashion should not harm anyone. On the contrary, I believe it to be a combination of comfort, creativity and confidence.

The 21st-century life does not surprise me anymore. I don't think anyone would bother if you wear flip-flops to work. However, sometimes rules are followed out of respect for the concerned party. The point of this blog is to normalise the idea that sometimes this respect crosses personal tolerance and boundaries.

After all, we are human, and being too strict with anything is unnecessary. Enjoy fashion, and be a judgemental critic, but do not forget, it's all just a minor part of life.

With that clear, let us check out comfortable switchouts for disrupting articles.

1) Heels / Flats

The most obvious switch is to allow your feet to enjoy painless flats. Today's market has all sorts of vibrant and fancy footwear. Replace your black pumps with formal ballerinas and your golden heels with glistening sliders.

Your podiatrist will be very happy to know you switched for the better.

Do not think that sarees or formal gowns have s compulsion of wearing stilettos. I think sarees look ravishing with sneakers. Your formal gowns will not be toned down by embellished sandals. Give it a try! People won't judge you for choosing comfort. Don't we all want that?

2) The Waist War:

Jeans are dashing, and I know they make your legs look perfect. They go with everything and manage to slip in on every occasion.

Therefore, I beg you to forgive our waists. Your jeans are not supposed to intrude on your digestion. Moreover, stop lamenting the little number on the tag. The size number, be it 24 or 42, makes no difference in your outfit. As a mid-sized person, I chance upon 30 to 34 waist size, all fitting me the same.

If your jeans are way too tight, fix them by looping around a rubber band. 5- minute crafts work sometimes!

Opt even for different kinds of jeans. Explore flared pants and trousers. Pick what you feel best in, not suffocated.

3) Adjustments

As previously mentioned, confidence is a significant part of fashion. It arises when you truly feel yourself in the outfit. You like the way it fits you. How is confidence possible when the wire of your bra keeps poking you? Purchase clothing items wisely. They're not supposed to restrict you. You should be able to move swiftly through the day. If it makes you adjust and fix every moment, what's the point of the outfit?

4) Forgive your Organs:

Corsets are so last century! Sucking, tucking, and synching your waist only leads to more problems. Your clothes are not supposed to affect your breathing. Your waist, your belly, and every part of your body that you wish to tuck away is gorgeous. Embrace it!

5) You're wearing the clothes, not the other way around.

Your accessories can make a statement by standing out. They draw attention by their intricacy and styling. If they draw attention from their constant tangles, honey, it's not worth it! Pick peplum over bodycon and cotton over velvet. Don't be so tied up in letting the clothes wear you down!
