Music: A feeling

music

/ˈmjuːzɪk/

noun

  1. 1.
vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.

Music is a feeling rather than anything else. There are so many types of music, such as; classical, pop, rock, etc. Everyone has a particular favourite. Why do we have these favourites?

Maybe because we feel something different while listening to the songs. A particular feeling of happiness, sadness, relatability, or you simply feel that you are in a safe place where you feel cosy.

There can be relaxing songs that simply soothe your nerves when you are stressed; energetic songs when you want to dance your heart out or aggressive songs for I don't know what. My favourites have to be relaxing songs and upbeat songs which I can freely dance to. I also love the songs which play for Bharatanatyam Dances (Those are my utmost favourite)

Some of my favourite song artists include Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Olivia Rodrigo.

Songs are also there for various purposes. I have never heard any, but I know there are many instrumental songs for concentration (which I should try). It's called Lo-Fi music. Many people who listen to lo-fi music are sure to increase their productivity, especially in studies. This is great for the upcoming exams. This kind of music is great for anything you do throughout the day.

I don't know what it is about music but I just (I bet everyone) straight up loves it. Music is there everywhere. Not in its known form but in very subtle ways. The random but annoying sounds of traffic, the chirping of birds like in Disney movies, the rustling of leaves, the oddly satisfying sound of rain pouring and many more.

I know everyone feels differently about music, but this is just a short composition about my view of music. Comment below if you have a favourite song.
