Desk Setup for the New Year

With the onset of the new year, let's include the organization in our lifestyle. Start the new year with cleanliness. It is an Indian belief that peace and prosperity enters a tidy household. Imparting this ideology we'd like to introduce ways to set up your desk

Instead of buying anything, you can just change your desk set up to make it look aesthetically pleasing and it can work according to your convenience.

1. Setting

First, you check how much space you have to keep things. Choose the location wisely. Let there be enough space and light. If it's the favourite corner of your house, it will attract productivity. I used to sit at my study table but half of the space would be occupied by my laptop. So then I decided to sit in the living room at the dining table since no one really uses it. The dining table is quite big so I get to keep all things I will need for online classes.

But if you want to sit in another place like the couch, you can also get a laptop table or a foldable table

2. Stuff

Next, you have to pick out the stuff you ACTUALLY need to attend your online class. You have your laptop or phone or desktop.

If you have a laptop, try to get a laptop fan so that it doesn't heat up during classes, and if you have a phone make sure to get a phone holder so that you can adjust your camera in lectures.

Some other things that may be a necessity for lectures are (a) stationery - I'll give you a stationery desk essential blog link (b) notebooks and textbooks for your lectures (obviously). Try to keep it to the essentials. You don't want to crowd your space. That usually results in clutter and mess.

3. Placing

Placing is one of the most important things in a desk setup. One thing which is important is to keep a space where you keep your books or whatever which you are USING at that point of time. And when you are not doing anything that zone should be empty. this helps to keep your desk from clutter.

Keep your laptop or phone or desktop in the middle of the table and the remaining stuff is reserved for other stuff. Keep your pen stand on the right or left according to which hand you write with. And the other things like your books and notebooks go on the opposite side. This is what I do because I sit at the dining table

If you sit at a smaller table, you can keep your device in the centre. If it's a Laptop there is a possibility that it is occupying most of the space. in this case, you can get a pouch to keep your stationery required and you can keep your books beside you. But if you use a phone or tablet, space shouldn't be a problem.

Summarising.

Keep your desk minimalistic. Minimum clutter. It doesn't have to be like any of the desks on Pinterest. Your desk, your rules ;)

Ending this blog, I am ending the last blog of 2021. It has been a crazy year like 2020 and, I hope 2022 will bring better opportunities and amazing things for you and your family.
