What to do in times of Stress!!!
Stressing
is so stressful but thinking about not stressing makes you stress even
more.
Earlier,
getting an education was for the privileged children, most of which
belonging
to high castes. That was the story of India in the past. However now,
completing
your schooling and getting a degree is the bare minimum one can
expect.
These expectations change to exhaustion of energy. Not only
expectations
of others in one's life, but also one's own expectation from life.
Everyone
wants a great life, a rich lifestyle and absolute comfort. But all these
needs
may only be fulfilled with struggle, hard work, and loads of mental power.
This
is where stress comes in. This has become common in youth.
Disclaimer:
Sometimes
stress
reaches
uncontrollable heights, and that's when no website or Google can help
out,
but a trained professional. I want to let you know, that mental health is a
topic
that people are now learning about and not neglecting, but the wrong
information
can lead to negative consequences. This blog is here to help out all
youngsters
for times like failing a test, completing assignments etc. These things
can
be done to ease out the mind for a short period. Though keep in mind to
seek
out help whenever you think something is wrong and do not cage yourself
in the trap of ignorance.
On a
lighter note, let's see what to do when everything feels like a mess, but it
really
isn't, trust me :)
1) Venting Out:
The
best way to shush away stress is to not. Letting out feelings in some or the
other
way will actually help you think logically and not make hasty decisions or
sometimes
it will stop you from creating another issue to deal with. Here are
some
methods that help me out:
a) Crying:
Yeah,
it's pretty dramatic but the most effective. I don't know what the scientific
reason
is, but it kinda makes you feel more fresh and ready to tackle any
hindrance.
It makes you think more clearly, more positively. I think we've all
observed
- if we're sad about one incident or situation, we automatically start
thinking
of ALL the sad times in life. And woah it's a sad sad pit. Crying in such a
situation
will just, in a way, take away the load :)
b) Writing:
This
one is for the writers and it has to be my favorite. Writing down all thoughts
is a
practical way of actually getting perspective on a problem, but moreover just
writing
all your thoughts on paper and burning it down {don't try this at home tho,
or
anywhere} or tearing it and throwing it off is just oddly satisfying. If you're
not a
huge
fan of such brutal methods, the "typing everything and deleting the
file"
method
is for you! [ I know it's a very creative way of naming a method :) ]
c) Talking:
This
is where your best friend is required. Call or text him/her/they and just pour
out
everything. Just make sure the person is interested in listening and you're not
forcing
them, because that's not very fun, and chances are, it will result in the
other
person going crazy. Oh and if no one's free, the "record and delete the
file"
method
is for you :)
2)
Organization:
Cleaning
up your space is will take out a huge chunk of stress from your mind. It
makes
one feel very put together and productive. And in addition to that, it is far
more
preferable for a person to work in a sorted-out place compared to a mess.
3)
Planning:
Whenever
you feel like something amiss or well, when everything feels like a
total
clutter, planning out things will calm you down. When you know what's
supposed
to happen, in what manner and when, you instantly feel ok. It gets stuff
out
of your system and keeps you less worried when you have a plan. You can
plan
in the following ways :
a) Bullet Journal:
Bullet
Journals are just a great way to organize all your tasks in one place, and a
place
where all your upcoming events are noted down, to keep you prepared.
They
doodles and drawings are optional, but in my opinion, they actually are a
great
source of entertainment and relaxation, and if you wanna know about
it....read our keeping a bullet journal
b) Using a Planner:
This
is for people who like bullet journals but can't maintain it with all the
doodles.
A variety of brands provide ready made, aesthetically pleasing planners
that
are super fun to use and also give a hand in mapping out all tasks
c) To-do Lists:
The
simplest way to keep track of your tasks is to note them down on a handy
to-do
list. You can do so on memo pads and notebooks available in stored and online
websites, or stick to digital platforms such as Google Keep. You can create
your
own to-do lists on Word, Docs or even print out templates. Also,
tasks
is a bonus tip to keep in mind.
4) Hobbies :
Sometimes
stress comes with overwhelming task, working for long hours, or just
not being
able to take off your mind from a particular thing. In this case, taking a
small
break does no harm. Listening to music, drawing out a little cartoon,
writing,
singing, grooving to a tune, having a chat will help you escape and
distract
from your job. However, keep an alarm or timer just so that you don't get
completely
submerged and forget your work.
5)
Reaction:
Life
is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it. You might be
stressing
about something that isn't even worth your worry. Analyse the issue
first.
Know what's important to you and whatever is not. Sometimes we waste
time
on the most useless things when we can conquer so much more. Time is
precious,
don't waste it on stressing about the one test that you wish you had
gotten
better marks on. You can't be the best all the time and that's ok. Just know
how
to react.
6)
Chill bro. :
Everything
is such a mess. We need to realize the we're living on a little ball that
is
moving around a fire ball and things are weird. You can't be on top of the
world
all
the time. You will have days when you don't feel like doing anything. That day,
it's
ok to be down and crying and all that stuff. It's part of life. Sometimes you
can
fake
it till you make it. But sometimes you can't even do that. Stress is such an
issue,
but I think it can be tackled. Just know that everything was fine, and
everything
will be fine, just believe <3.
