STANDARDS

Image
I think we live in a world of standards. We have to many standards in our life which we have to achieve. As of now, i am in 9th stand. I have 10th standard, 11th, 12, standards to achieve.  These our the normal and useful standards. But there are some standards that are completely useless but we still have them in our life. These are the society’s standards. I dont knw who are these society. Are they the people in general, then am i not in the society. Are they those gossip aunties, or are they people who force people do get into something. I dont know that, but i know than these standards are quite too many and impossible to attain.. Coincidently, women are always targeted in these standards. Women who has a big bosom, big butt, big lips, tiny waist, fox eyes, thin nose, thin nose, perfect jawline, perfect cheek bones were the right women. The rest were always expected to work for the level of ‘perfection’ Men are always forced to be manly. It is much like the men’s beauty ...

The American Dream

Image
We Indian have always come believing that  The land of opportunities, as America is known to generations of Americans and others, was the place where anyone can become anything with hard work and ambition. The possibility of upward social mobility, defined as the ability to move up social stratas defying circumstances that a person is born in, was the light for millions of people who immigrated to the United States of America during the 20th century. Not only Indians, but any one with the dream of good living standards, quality life and earning loads of money wants to go there. People from India to mexico, Brazil, China, Europe etc go there. It is truly a multinational country. In the 20th century, Indians who had been struggling against barriers created by caste, religion, income, occupation etc. were also seduced by the American dream and the desire for a better quality of life. Interestingly, an economist who has been at the forefront of the discussion on whether America is inde...

Anger Managment

Image
A proper definition of anger is "Anger is an emotion characterized by antagonism toward someone or something you feel has deliberately done you wrong." It would be a rather uncanny situation if you’re not familiar with feelings of anger. A very natural, common yet undesirable emotion. It is the kind of acquaintance you’d like to avoid, the phone calls of whom you do not like to answer. Probably someone of higher authority, as you have to answer the phone call every time, you’re obliged to. Or it’s someone who you could avoid but it seems to be a rather difficult task to decline. Anger is a feeling which is usually provoked by external stimulus, so we may say that it is a reaction to such. Therefore, it depends on each person's value of rights and wrongs. Anger is unnecessary in most circumstances. A lot of us are unknowingly influenced by anger, our own or someone else’s. Such an influence is not pleasant or helpful, rather quite negative in most scenarios. Think about ...

If I Could Time Travel

Image
I always think of time traveling through time. Would I change my past events? Would I prevent massive wars and mistakes? That’s was an old me. The future of the old me i.e. the present me has much more of a thought for time travel. In past, I had wanted to time travel to prevent wars, save people, change rules and modernize the past . I wouldn’t be surprised if the current me would time travel to study more for tomorrow’s exam or see where I had kept a thing I have had lost. Why you may ask? I believe that changing a past that has already taken place can lead to an unexpected and unwanted present. The present is the past of the future. You may think if I change the present, it will directly affect the future. (that is true). But then it contradicts what I said that the past should not be changed.  I would finalize by saying that ‘I would not want to change the past of the present. I would use time travel to get information on the earliest form of humans, the dinosaurs. I wil...
